I'm feeling Nest-y.

I'm in a Nest-y kind of mood at the moment. You can see it in my latest work.




Repurposed vintage spoons with black velvet ribbon and mini nest with moss, available at Nest, Penguin..

  I'm feeling inspired by our feathered friends. I watch them in the garden, gathering materials, building nests, all the while talking and talking and talking. I wonder who is in charge, who gets to make the final say, on the best looking nest. I watch the birdies hanging on to the overhead wires, almost vertical ...

Busy busy busy

It has been a busy month of working and creating. An extension on my string project has allowed some new projects to start. I have been busily creating new denim wrap skirt designs (i have not yet mastered the digital technology needed for the Dolly skirts, but i'm nearly there!!). I hope to have a few ready soon.

'The Gordon' Felted Mohair blanket Wrap skirt

I was going to put a post letting you know that Natalie at Nest has a new felted blanket skirt or sale. But a lucky shopper has already snapped it up. Thanks so much for your support. Great also for me, as I head back to the sewing room to complete a blue/white check felted adult blanket skirt. It has a beautiful bluebell doiley as a pocket and blue button circle detail. Soon to be avaliable in Nest.

New in Nest, Penguin, Tasmania

 Now stocked in Nest are my new 100% woollen blankets upcycled and felted into wrap skirts.
They come in five different sizes, adult, small adult child 4-6 years, toddler and newborn.
Each skirt is an original and cannot be repeated.
Wrap skirts have side pockets and hand stitched details of circles and vintage buttons. Some skirts have my toys - Peep-o, Popcorn, Penguin and peck-e stitched onto them.
