It has a hand sewn snowflake detail, with baby doileys and buttons. It is reversible, the red linen side has baby doileys and vintage and collected buttons.
This cape has been sold, thanks to the lovely lady who bought it! I have a few more capes in progress and will be selling them through Nest,... Continue reading ...
10,000 Minutes of Plastic - My new Project
10,000 minutes of plastic.
A project by Janine Morris of second Sister.
365 days of collecting plastic for 1/2 hour each day. This equals over 10,000 minutes of collecting time.

This project is about the reliance we have on plastic in our everyday life.

Making string with recycled sari silk and sisal string. Framed joined with a god's eye. Weaving in string with basket upside down, between knees.
Keep turning it around the right way, to see that the colours look right, and that the frame still has the shape you started with. Some of us find that string is woven on more than just baskets (see my wrist).
A lovely basket of collected blue bailing twine, just perfect for these rope baskets.
Another beach rope basket,
That has gone to its new own... Continue reading ...
